“Life is about Growth - Adversity inspires it and Hope fuels it!” - (Ann Hovey © 2015)

About Me

                                                                                                                                                                         Who am I?
I’m a Mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend.  What roles have I had?  I’ve been a team member, a project manager, a leader, a facilitator, and an organizational coach.  I
am also an advocate, and it is this role that I find the most demanding.

Some of my mantras include:

  1. Life is about growth – adversity inspires it and hope fuels it;
  2. Everyone brings something special and unique to the table that no-one else can;
  3. Hope is critical for any productive and constructive action to be taken;
  4. Fake it ‘til you make it;
  5. You can’t over-communicate when the information is critical to your goals; and,
  6. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

I completed my post-secondary education at the University of Waterloo.  I have a BSc in Systems Design Engineering and a Masters in Statistics.
Yes, I do like data!

I’ve been fortunate, in my professional challenges, to see how significantly the right data can contribute to exceptional results.  However, my career
experiences have also shown me that my technical skills weren’t sufficient for success.  My life experiences have taught me that sustainable
success (across all dimensions) is much more dependent on the “softer” skills of communicating, facilitating, respecting, committing, focusing,
believing in possibilities, and hoping.

Stay tuned!  The experiences and thoughts that I share on this web-site will reveal more about who I am, what I believe and what I’ve learned!!
